Really?
Well, my question today is....How long can a headache really last? I have had a headache for several days, but it just seems to be getting worse and worse. Sinus cavities are congested, but nothing will break it up. I have been taking Mucinex D for days now. I even did a nasal flush today with little affect...and it was horrible. I feel like just for the effort, all mucus should have given up and surrendered. If anyone had a miracle remedy, please let me in on the secret. I promise not to tell anyone-Girl Scout honor---well, I was never really an official Girl Scout, so to heck with that. Maybe I just need to see an ENT. I guess I will try to put my baby down for the night and turn in. Maybe a great night sleep will help. Hoping tomorrow will meet me with fresh air--that I can breathe---and a little better health!

Another Week Down!
Well, I made it through another week...hooray!! Things are falling into place nicely. My students are rocking, the new fall scents are out at Bath and Body Works, and Bama won BIG this weekend...not to mention a 3 day weekend. Life is good. I am reading a new book called The Traveler's Gift. What an awesome and eye opening read! Really makes you look at your life and how you live it. I want to recommend it to everyone...very insightful. My sweet family came to stay with me this weekend, another blessing for me. My niece and nephew are fabulous. However, I have to say I am glad my baby is 6. I have to admit I LOVE my sleep. I love that she doesn't drool everywhere, and that she can potty in the potty by herself. It's the little things...
I think there will be TWO doctor's visits in the near future-hopefully tomorrow. Both my sweet babies, Ada and Jack, are feeling under the weather. Ada definitely has a sinus infection starting, not to mention a sinus infection ALWAYS progresses into an ear infection, despite the best laid plans to avoid them. Jack has had 3 sinus/ear infections in the last 3 months. Not sure what is going on there, since he is NEVER sick. I think age may be creeping up on him. Good thing I am so much younger!!!:)
I am looking forward to my 4 day week this week. My sweet first graders are making lots of progress. However, I keep being asked when we can take a nap. (wish I could help them with that!I really should teach a course in proper napping techniques-maybe that can be my future endeavor.)We are definitely worn out by the end of the day, and we have had some kind of fever virus spreading through the school. I guess when all those germs come together, something is bound to happen! Maybe I can stay well for at least a little while longer, anyway. With teaching during the day, teaching after-school enrichment on Fridays and trying to manage a household, I don't have time to be sick....I mean, it seems the world around me falls apart when I am sick. I am truly irreplaceable...or I like to think that anyway.
So, cheers to the week ahead, staying well, and some more BAMA wins! Roll Tide!

Well, it has been awhile since my last blog...but whose counting really? A lot has happened since then, so to catch you up. My daughter and I had a great year last year in Kindergarten and we BOTH graduated to First Grade! I got to keep some of my babies from last year, and we added a few from other classes. I can happily say that we made it through the first week in First Grade. The first day was a BIG eye opener. I kept saying, "Wow, this day has been SO easy!" First graders know how to write and read and blow their own noses! What a difference from every first day of Kindergarten! Don't get me wrong, I have LOVED everyday of Kindergarten, for the last 9 years, but first graders are so much more independent-like night and day! My sweet daughter is still across the hall for me, which makes my job so much easier to go to everyday. However, we have gotten a new math program, which seems to be a MESS! I will start teaching the topics next week, but just looking over everything, it is put together like a Kindergartener puts together an outfit! Just a hot mess. I am hoping that as I wade through it, the light bulb will come on, and everything will make perfect sense....Here's to hoping! Well, prayers are welcome for the second week, as we settle into all the first grader stuff.
